This book is so bad.

This book is wonderfully written but it was meant to be published as a periodical in a magazine. As a novel it’s entirely too long.

This is such trash

This book is insane in the best way. This is just the kind of dark chaotic shit I was looking for. It’s also very beautifully written.

The writing is TRASH. She was bad before but this is just cliche central. I don’t understand why the quality dipped this much.

Huh so the main male character is fully a sociopath. Gotcha gotcha. Will read this like a horror from now on.

This is just the kind of inane read I wanted. Magically attractive to everyone girl. Super kind. Super amazing. Complete Mary sue. A deep dark guy who mysteriously wants the best for her and UNDERSTANDS HER fck all of you non-understanding mofos. Love that the book titles sound like names of dishwashing liquids.

Every page I turn leaves a paper-cut on my heart. Beautiful and precise.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish this. Generally Kleypas has dubious consent in her books (on the part of both men and women) and it’s difficult to get past. But the massive disdain in this book for Sex workers, the fragile ego of the hero, the almost priggish puritanism of the heroine are all extremely distasteful.

How can she be this dumb? She believes in vampires enough to write blogs about them and pursue them but when she sees fangs she’s like oh caps cool.

Feeling very out of step with thud entire book so far.

I gotta be honest I don’t know what’s left in the book that I’m only at 17%. Seriously the only thing that should be happening now is the climax.

Honestly don’t know why I’ve started this. If it doesn’t pique my interest within the first quarter I’m ditching. I’m in a moody kind of mood.

Ignoring the spectrum of gender and sex I get that humans are referred to as men and women. for other species we use other words like buck and doe. We don’t call them women cows. So the Fae being a different species male and female is fine tho annoying and very binary. But then why are the offspring called children? We don’t say cat children. We say kittens. Fae offspring should be called Sth else. Not children.

Okay I’ve just started reading it but - nesta doesn’t change the sheets between different lovers EWWWWW

I think the book might actually be leading to something now. But who knows.

The bones of a wonderful story are there. But I’m just not getting drawn into anyone’s struggle except Elias. Also yayyy it’s not a love triangle but a love pentagon in the making. Wonderful.

Laia is such an annoying wet noodle I want to slap her. If a love triangle develops I will scream. Elias at least has a tangible story. But my god is Laia fickle and annoying.

Either the author is insane or my own lives experiences as a teenage girl in an all girls school were fake. There’s idiocy and then there’s lunacy. This book just managed to really piss me off.

Extremely irritated by a grown woman referring to teenage girls as bitches. There is no excuse for this kind of nonsense. I’m sorry you were poor but these are literal kids. Very tempted to just stop reading with the constant focus on the girls “prettiness” and the swearing at them behind their backs.

The American response is depressing in its accuracy.
