The premise sounded interesting, but it's putting me to sleep

I'm really trying to get into it because it's an interesting story underneath the verbose shambling of the prose, but I'm going to call it at Chapter 19 and take a break.

It's such a dense book that I'm taking a break. It's not DNF yet, but I'm going to put it down for a bit and hope my brain is more prepared to handle all the words at a later date

Entering Stronghold (Stronghold Doms, #1-3)
Finished book 2. I enjoyed it more than the first one because the characters feel way more realistic.
Looking forward to the final book because the first two have done a great job in getting me interested in the couple featured in that one.

Entering Stronghold (Stronghold Doms, #1-3)
Finished the first story and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Maybe I'm looking for depth in a puddle. Not that puddles aren't fun, but I would have liked more time for the characters to grow.

How can a story be interesting and incredibly boring at the same time?

I'm marking this DNF for a bit because I suddenly realized that I'm hate reading this one and I don't want to do that with PC Cast

Why are Connors's lines spoken in such a low volume even when Lizzie is practically screaming? I hope they fix that in the final mix because it's impossible to listen to this with earphones
