Having waited 30 years to read this book, im not overly wowed it yet. While I appreciate it catching us up with where all the characters from ROTJ are 5 years later, and im finally getting what ive wanted from my legends read in Luke searching for future jedi, im not really into a lot of the side plots yet, and just want to get on with the main "jedi academy" purpose of the book.

I had Jedi Search on my bookshelf as a kid for longer than I can remember, and never once read it. Today is the day we finally change that.

I have a complicated history with this book. I have owned this book for decades but only read it 2 years ago and even then struggled with it.

Thrawn is a great character and Zahn is an excellent writer, but his prose has always been challenging to me.

Now having read the Legends timeline to this point and read more Zahn SW, it's time to try again and actually read the entire trilogy

After listening to the Dark Forces Audiodramas I realised I'd missed out on these Old Republic ones, so we're backtracking a little before diving into the X-wing series.

I struggled with these comics when I read them, so hopefully this medium helps a little to get the story better
