I loved the beginning of this book. The challenge I run into though is finishing books when I am distracted by other things. I don’t think it should reflect on the goodness of the book but do you rank books by goodness or your enjoyment?

The story is broken into 3 “books” and I kind of wonder if I would have liked that better. It’s so interesting but also looong.

It’s so beautifully written but it’s sloooow and heavy.

Easy to read but so relatable. Everything seems almost too good though so I keep waiting for something to go terribly wrong.

I’ve been enjoying the story but it doesn’t move fast. It’s interesting that even with all the exciting things that have happened, it still hasn’t felt super fast.

I’ve always hated the trope/pacing/style where they introduce that there was a fight then proceed to leave you in the dark for half the book but keep alluding to it.

It’s like a sales pitch that will “change your life” then they proceed to never tell you what it is.

There is a warning at the beginning of the book about the graphic nature. I think it’s already earned it. It’s also interesting though so I think I am moving pretty fast because I can skip a few paragraphs here and there.

Heaviest book. But also weirdly wonderful? Complex emotions.

This is so good. So engaging.
