So far keeping track of all the similar names is tough but I'll get with it soon.

Took some getting used to, I kept trying to grab onto the "central narrative" but there really isn't. Once I recognized that this is all "short prose" in kinda chapter form, and linear, it was easier to get into the book. While being in the 80s gives off a good feeling of nostalgia sometimes (descriptions of general stores, roads, cafes, etc.), sometimes the author's descriptions are racist or unaccepting of differ

Less than a day in and already halfway through. Scary. Truthful (am I allowed to say that as a white person?) Authentic (again?) Difficult.

Stephen King is master. He can make a kid's bike ride through town exhilarating and nerve-wracking!
