How many times is this girl gonna “accidentally” moan when she eats…

I know Ender is going to have some traumatic backstory that will make sense with the way he’s acting, but he’s just soo annoying right now

If the FMC was a man, everyone would be calling him the biggest red flag… she’s so annoying

I’m loving the romance aspect, but the FMC is soooooo annoying… and I don’t say that too often…

I just don’t understand how this is going to be wrapped up in the next 150 pages. We still have to deal with both the New Republic AND Cressida who has been mostly absent most of this book, yet remains to be a MAJOR problem… I’m just glad Gideon is finally getting a smidge of character development…

I truly don’t think Gideon gives a crap about Rune. He couldn’t care less what happens to her. This is the most one-sided “romance” book I’ve ever read.

Gideon makes me physically ill. How is anyone rooting for him?

He cares so much for Rune and it’s so hard to know that she’s breaking his heart when he’s doing everything for her. Even just now when she needed defending, you would think Gideon would step in, but no… it was Alex…

This book is using too many words to say absolutely nothing of value. Why does every single “feeling” need to be 4 paragraphs long when it can be summed up in a sentence? There’s a single line of dialogue and then three pages of inner monologue. By the time I get the next line of dialogue, I’ve forgotten what was said!

You have GOT to be kidding me… Laurent was the ONLY one of Cas’s friends I actually cared about. I find the others soooo annoying

This is one of those series that I reallyyy wish someone had read before me, so I could have some things spoiled for me. I usually have no triggers when it comes to dark romance, and don’t get me wrong, this one is DARK and hard to read, but I can handle it for the most part. There is however, one thing I can’t handle, and I have a feeling that’s where we’re headed 🙈 idk if I should dnf bc im so invested

Why is Hawk such a pick me

I really want to like this, but I’m going to need Hawk to act like he cares just a LITTLE BIT. Like yes, he keeps having all these memories, but then he’s immediately like “well anyways, never happening again.” If I’m going to believe in their relationship, I need to see that he wants it and is willing to fight for it. Not to mention he is talking abt how he’s finally getting closure.. like ?

i cannot stand second chance romances but i also hate skipping books in series. you can see my dilemma… this is not going well

I’m so bummed that I’m not loving this one!! This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year because got two of my favorite things, small-town romance and firefighters… unfortunately I’m just not feeling the chemistry between these two.

Why do they keep “karate chopping the air” when they talk 😩

Honestly this is just turning into a hate read at this point. Every other line Tavish is promising he wont let anything happen to his “fated mate,” yet every time he looks in the opposite direction of her, she’s getting kidnapped or stabbed 😅
