Ugh I love this book it’s time for a re-read

Is there a reason that on page 185, Derrick calls Kathleen « Emmaline » which is not only the wrong name for the character but the name of the other character in the book set decades earlier?! Is this just an authors mistake that wasn’t picked up in the editing process or am I missing something?!

This book sounds like it was written by a year 10 drama group for an assembly performance.
