Get this book to anyone that seriously believes in the bs WW2 documentaries from the History Channel. They weren't prodigal strategic or engineering geniuses - they were high on drugs. Don't abuse opioids, kids.

It's a mixed bag for me so far. The different ways ADHD can manifest outside of the stereotypical is helpful and has me reflecting on a lot. Some of the tips are helpful and I think I can use in work/life. But the condescending writing tone is getting annoying (aka trying to be relatable by speaking in cutesy puns and everything is soooo hard for you uwu). Also the hetero-normative assumptions aren't helping.

This book will kill any dreams you have of becoming a competitive Scrabble player, if that's something you wanted.

I'm more than a bit put off of how women are portrayed by the author as "blue-hairs", novices/hobby players, and disgusting physical descriptions. Professional competitive scrabble seems to be a male dominated space. Grain of salt is that this book is from the 90s but still hard to ignore the ick.

Bestie is doing a lot of name dropping and corporate cheerleading. Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks it's weird to give kudos to a bestie being nice to get more corporate editorial power and oversight in a docuseries with a tv network.

Definitely did not need audiobook narrator to put on a generic Middle Eastern accent to speak quotes from Malala Yousafzai and the person who shot her...

Okay everyone and their mother has read this book and I'm left asking...why? So far the gimmick of swearing isn't keeping me interested. Big boy use bad words to puff his chest out and go grrrr
Groundbreaking
But I'm not a quitter so I truck on

I have learned again what I knew to be true, executives are messy and petty at a level that puts college sororities and fraternities to shame. Michael Eisner is the hbic in this regard. I enjoyed specifically how often the book painstakingly points out wrong calls he made on things that would later become major successes like Survivor and Finding Nemo. His mindgames with his contemporaries rival only Regina George.
