I finally started reading this YA book tonight and only read Chapter 1 written from Madison's POV. On Thursdays, Madison, her mom, and her friend Wren attend yoga class. While reading about this class I actually laughed out loud. I'm not familiar with many yoga poses so I may need to look them up.

Penny has the opportunity to go on tour with Noah and his band on their tour. Of course things haven't gone as planned yet, and Noah's best friend Blake has been stirring up trouble. I'm sure there will plenty more as I continue reading the book.

Since I'm reading an advance copy I'm confused about the news of Akinli's folks. Maybe this is wrapped up in the copy that will be published. I'm enjoying this quite a bit, and never would have thought to read it except that my kid received an advance copy to write a review for our local indie bookstore.

This is a new type of story for me to read, as I didn't even know what a "siren" was other than an alarm or attached to an emergency vehicle. I am enjoying the story so far and do like the character, Kahlen. What an unusual situation to be in at her age!

I loved this book. Jandy Nelson's writing style is simply beautiful.

So far I love this book. I have so many questions that I hope are answered in the second part of the book but also worry that I may it like the answers. Jandy's writing style is simply beautiful and I love the images in my mind.
