I started and finished this book in one day. I listened in audio and set the speed at 150 and sort of settled into the book as I did various little bits of tidying up. All I can say is that it’s good no one will be examining my tidying up because I often found myself in a dreamy state as I listened an and plotted what Wouk dhaooen next.

I thought this would be about the son but as it turns out the bad guy is the father. He has killed many and his primary reason is to cover up what he’d done before. I enjoyed the book but while thinking how to review it I realized it was simply one murder after another and how he felt about why he had to kill. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the book.
