Seajay is starting Endgame, Vol. 1: The Problem of Civilization
A very sobering read. Even though it was published in 2006, it is obvious that humanity has not and likely will never do right by our planet. Our hubris prevents us from acknowledging how destructive each of us are, at least sometimes, and corporations all of the time. If you live in a city you discover that it's a resource guzzler, giving back nothing to the land. My mind reels.

Started out promising with sly humor but devolved from there, imo.

Dnf... found it not very interesting and a bit scattered. It does contain lovely prose in sections, though.

Brilliant. Gasping at the restraint of his prose and its emotional depth. This author has keen insights into life and death and the necessity of hope. I was literally stunned by the chapter entitled Pig Son, with Speak, Fetch, Say I love you a close second... so far.

Very interesting information that is quite unlike Ra's HD. I've read the keys that pertain to me and find them accurate. Have not yet had time to contemplate any of them. It will take some months to delve into all 64, especially since the print is small and hard on the eyes.

This is one of those rare books that I must own and study deeply. It's not only informative, but the author's use of humor and metaphors make the lessons very enjoyable. The drawings are so helpful, and look like art!

It's mind boggling to imagine battles going on inside our bodies without us being aware of them. The immune system rocks!

So original! I'm hoping Juliette lives and that Lukas and she end up together somehow, but maybe that's just because in Romeo and Juliette It didn't end well for them. IT make for super villains.

Ugh. Why so much ballyhoo about politics and such? Who cares? I wanted a great story about an almost human machine. I'm just skimming at this point, looking for those sections. Both humans are quite unlikable and boring to boot.

That said, best line encountered so far is on p 96:
"He cared for her as a dishwasher cares for its dishes. "
