It's really interesting to get perspective on what the field of neuro/psych was like in the 70's & 80's- to reflect on what seemingly has and hasn't changed.
The first time I read this book was at the beginning of my bachelor's; reading it now only weeks from graduation four years later is an entirely new experience. :) I'm looking forward to continuing this with a new caliber of knowledge.

The first book I read during my lesbian awakening and. I don't want it to end :( more Casey Plett in the future for me pls

The chapter "Portland, Oregon" has changed me.

The gore is extensive (well written albeit) and yet the world building is REALLY lacking and the emotionality seems rushed and forced. It's also very cliche. I am not enjoying this so far. 102 pages left to change my mind..
