I really hope this gets better, because at the moment this book is just undermining the diagnosis of PMDD in a misogynistic way, lacking nuance (while appearing to have it on the surface level), and maddening me.

Reading about Lena’s experience with getting treated for endo - it is so crazy to know that someone with her kind of platform and money had a much worse time getting treated than I did (and I didn’t have a great time either).

So far this book feels a lot like Circe is ‘not like the other girls’ brand of feminism and I’m not really enjoying that.

There’s a lot of cruelty in this book and I’m not really feeling that at the moment.

- is HG for real about this? Are all her books this gender essentialist?

So far I like the idea behind this book but am not enjoying the execution.

Have almost given up many times but am kind of glad I persisted as the chapter mental health in schools has taught me some things I didn’t know.

So far it seems that I am not the target audience for this book.

This is chaotic and I love it.

Tried reading this is fresh grief and found it too frustrating to hear about how many more supports Sheryl Sandberg had than I did (so I don’t recommend it for fresh grievers who aren’t millionaires with perfect families). Trying again a couple years out. We’ll see.

This is set in January 2021 so I’ve got to read it now 😂. I’m relating to it a little bit too much.

I've been five hours off the end of this audiobook for weeks because I can't face the ending. Downside to rereading.

So far book is every bit as excellent as I thought it would be (and I had seen a lot of hype).

I've swapped from reading this on audiobook to print because I couldn't deal with Lockhart's voice. At least I can skim his bits in the book to limit my exposure to the character.
