These started overlapping with the Seekers trilogy, so I decided to stop at 93% of the final book in that series in order to catch myself up with this one. Higher stakes beginning than is usual for Lowell.

Book was recommended and maybe I will like it, but for the moment the heroine is highly annoying. (To me)

WR Gingell has an amazing talent whereby she can make me enjoy reading about characters who are annoying.

Also, realized about 20% into this book I accidentally skipped 3.5. Thought about stopping and going back for that one, but ultimately decided to press on, then go back and catch up later. It looks like 3.5 is more connected to 3, and hopefully this book won’t spoil anything essential for enjoying 3.5.

Not very far in, but definitely hooked. Love the chapter titles.

I’m really enjoying this, and am reading it slowly.

This book is an interesting trip back in time.

Excellent, so of course it had to be banned by someone.

Not looking forward to finishing because then I’ll be done. I say this even knowing there’s a sequel already written.

Heroine’s family is horrible…

So I’m going to take a break and read other things for an undefined while. I may return as I am curious about certain plot points. I also may not return…if I were truly caught up in the story I wouldn’t be taking a break.

Only about 25% of the way through and I’m already sad this book is going to end at some point. It’s made me laugh over and over again.

I keep trying to hold off and savor all the Gingell books I haven’t yet read, but it’s hard to settle for something of less quality when I know these are waiting for me…

My edition is by Juno Dawson, so a later edition. Picked this up on vacation and brought it back to Florida with me. I figure Florida needs more books that say gay right now.

I really liked it at the beginning, but am not as crazy about it right now.

Great, though I wish after all these books that someone would explain to Shea that “if not” does not mean what she thinks it means.

I had to leave off with my heart broken to come in to work this morning. An awful place to stop for the day. Sort of looking forward to the drive home to pick up and read further, but also sort of not.

Couldn’t resist starting this tonight-it came off hold at the library and I put everything else aside. But I don’t want to get too sucked in this early in the work week.

I’m going to make it, easily. The trick is pacing. I want to finish by Sunday, but I want to go slowly enough that I don’t miss anything.

The goal is to finish before Sunday when I finally see the play, over a year and a half later than when I was originally supposed to. Thanks to a pandemic! (I have better seats now, so I'm happy).
