This is a reread. First story by kittredge and wells called “Ladies Fight” was fun. Since I’m not familiar with their worlds though an extra paragraph or two on the character would have been nice

Second story by McGuire & Armstrong was top shelf. “tailed” was an excellent example of young Verity and while I’m not up to the point of Elena and kids in Otherworlds yet it’s awesome.

Read Harris’s “An evening. With Al Gore” and loved it. Also read Seville’s “Dest Prudence” snd it was more just ok because left hanging.

Read Konrath & Wilson’s “The Sound of Blunder” and it was horrible.

Read D’Ammassa’s story No problem. Enjoyed it but also glad it was short. I can only tolerate so much absurdity.

Read Soulban’s story and Welch’s. Both were amusing but not exactly page burners

Read Kelley Armstrongs “Ungrateful Dead” and Lansdale’s “Mr Bear” and they are both awesome

Read Siglers “The Case of the Haunted Safeway” and Kushner’s “Prise De Fer” and loved them both although Safeway gets the slightly higher love.

Read Dubois’ “On The Fields of Blood” and Cameron’s “The God’s Games” and they were decent but not great.

Read Caitlin Kittredge’s Devil Went Down to Boston and absolutely loved it.

Read the intro and the Harris story “In the Blue Hereafter”. This Harris story felt more incomplete than some of her other anthology stories but it definitely was interesting even if more of a transitional state.

Just read Paul Di Filippo’s “A Short Course in Art Appreciation”. Thankfully this was short. The essence of the story is easy to understand I think my issue with it is I can’t see why anybody would want to perceive the world in a particular artistic style so it was a “meh”

Read Dorsey’s Learning About Machine Sex. It was great and disturbing

Read Blackford’s Glass Reptile Breakout. Very interesting story on cultural, control of culture snd tech. The cyberpunk is more subtle but there.

Read Gibson & Swanwick’s “Dogfight”. It’s an extremely powerful story.

It’s also extremely emotionally disturbing, disgusting and horrifying

Read Shurin’s introduction to the Culture section.

Read Lieber’s Coming Attraction which was mildly interesting

However Nancy Kress’s “With The Original Cash” was absolutely fucking amazing. So much packed into this small story.

Read Faust’s Dog story and Liu’s cyber bar story.

Neither were favorites of mine although Faust’s was emotionally satisfying and Liu’s an interesting concept.

Read Long’s story on Shadowrun which was awesome of course.

Read Maugham’s Fly Over country which was subtly brilliant and sad.

Yu’s Darkout which was subtly horrific

Read Ashby’s Be Seeing You and simply amazingly authentic. Will be adding her to the book list.

Just read Broaddus’s “I Can Transform You”

It was absolutely brilliant
