Read Mamatas Time of Day. Disturbing use of the infection by a monastery “brother”. Too reminiscent of the power of the church and feels like raping the mind and forced conversion.

Stephenson’s The Great Simolean Caper - too bad all the idiots promising real word crypto currency didn’t read it.

Great story though.

Absolutely wonderful analysis of the human condition and the desire to escape.

Wish there was more work translated into English

Read polkinhor’s consumimur igni and was blah. I’m not sure I understood his intent but what little I did provided insufficient perspective for me to care

Read Mason’s Arachne which I struggled with mainly I think because there was no firm footing in which to understand the journey.

Read Egan’s Axiomatic which is absolutely outstanding and definitely gives you footing on which to think about the actions of the protagonist

Read the intro story to the society section of the big book which was written in 1968

Delany’s: Time Considered as a Helix of Semiprecious Stones

Pretty good. Probably proto
Cyberpunk mixed with science fiction and film noir but really good.

Read the following:

WYSIOMG by Amaro but other than the accepted fluidity of gender transition I didn’t really understand the point of the story.

The Infinite Eye by Smythe: completely fascinating due to its inhuman cubicle work, illegal immigration, growing divide of tech literacy, use of illegals to watch illegals to survive and of course finally rebellion and sacrifice because of dehumanization. Awesome
