Third chapter, done.
Mércèdes put Fernand in the friendzone, and he. does. not. like. it. He's her cousin as well, which is a little weird, but apparently that's what they do in Catalan? Anyway, hurt and angry, Fernand met the snitch and the shitty neighbour of Dantès father. And apparently, Captain Leclerc told Dantès to go to Paris before he died, so Dantès wants to rush the wedding to go there. Hm. Hm.

Second chapter, done.
We've met Dantès father (who apparently doesn't have a name other than "Old Man"). He's a very sweet guy, looking out for his son, keeping him out of trouble. The neighbour, Caderousse, is pretending to be nice, but I don't buy it. Dantès left, to go see his fiancée Mércèdes and there's some funny business going on with her and Caderousse and a cousin?! I see trouble on the horizon ...

First chapter done. We've already met two characters with similiar names (Dantès and Danglars) and a deceased Captain, that I will continue to call Captain Leclerc, even though his name was Leclère.
Danglars seems to be a jealous snitch. Talkin' shit behind the new Captains' back. And Morrell is falling for it. Don't know what to think about that.
