This is starting off as a 1 star book for me so far, but I’m trying to hold on bc this book has fantastic reviews
- the audiobook narrates with too much intensity and emphasis on *everything*; could be the narrator or text
- violet has to constantly remind us how small and frail she is. Reminds me of that one tiktok pick me girl trend
- this beginning tension/hatred between Jack and Violet makes no sense!!!

Returned audiobook early - restart in book form. Annoyed by narrator’s voice.

A bit slow to get back into the poppy war series after devouring the first two books back to back. Maybe I just needed a break for the intensity. But now I’m back in and excited to finish this series!

It got so much better after that one event 60% through!!
