Now that I have heard of the author’s rule of three, I notice it all over the place.

I can't get the book out of my head, so I am reading it again.

"We can use this analysis to explain why populist complaints about trade
deficits make no sense at all. Imagine finding someone roaming the supermarket aisles complaining that although they keep going to the supermarket to buy stuff, the supermarket never buys anything from them in return."

Haven’t wanted to both savor and speed through a book like this in a long time.

Just realized there is a blue moon on Halloween this year.

Under a Dangling Sky and Moonlight are amazing stories, each in their own way.

“Troops I have nothing inspiring to say. Go. Make me proud.” Such an unassuming line and yet, with the surrounding context, it made me laugh enough to startle my cat.

Rereading before I dive into book 2. One of my favorite reads of 2018.

Hopefully, I have lined up my reread of the first two books correctly. We’ll see.

The Kindle version was obviously a pdf file converted into an ebook without an editor going over it. Yeah, I can figure out that icings means kings, Piets means Picts, and Amglo-Saxon is obvious, but there seems to be errors with some of the more archaic words and names that causes confusion.

Trying again.

It was quite a coincidence that the past two audiobooks I listened to were by the same narrator, Holter Graham. The two books are Nevernight (think Hogwarts for assassins) and the next is Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. I keep expecting a lot more blood whenever Bannon is mentioned.

The Core just came and I'm not finished yet. Now it is haunting me.

This is probably the slowest I've read a book on purpose. I go through an interview or section and just let each sink in before going on onto the next. Even translated this is an amazing book.

The kids and I are going through a chapter a night. Apparently I'm not doing the voices correctly but it is still a great book.

Starting from #1 to finish off the series. This is my favorite Mark Lawrence book. We will see if RQW #3 surpasses it.

Stopped after the first chapter because I caught up to the author. He posts twice a week. So now that there is a sufficient gap (due to my time to sit down and read on my iPad and not due to the story) I will start again this weekend.

I am waiting to get my hands on a hard-copy of this book before I finish this book. Sometimes it is just too hard for me to go back and forth with a digital copy.
