Thoroughly enjoying this novel. It spans decades I can personally relate to and reads like a loving, grateful memoir.

Thoroughly enjoying this book. Penelope Keeling develops over the course of 40 years into a strong and self-assured woman with a generous spirit and a good compass for navigating the highs and lows of life during and after WWII in England.

I am so enjoying this book. I’d recommend it without reservation to anyone experiencing the pleasures, questions and adventures of living in the decades after their 40s. So much happiness, so much to be grateful for. I am making a list of friends to whom I will refer it.

This is very readable and a sad testimony to our current executive branch of government. The world has changed a great deal since I worked in the military/industrial complex. I am chilled to discover how deeply the executive decision making process is enmeshed in one impetuous man's power. Fear is aptly titled.

Shavit writes objectively about Israel. I am learning so much that passed me by when I was a child. not quite 1/2 way through I see the sowing of the seeds of the issues facing Israel today.
