Doing a reread before I read the final book

Action has been non-stop, but the romance is a slooooooow burn and barely getting off the ground

Kind of a snooze fest so far. I feel like nothing of note has really happened yet, and I'm a third of the way through. I did like Rory's flashbacks though. Very interesting and also sad.

Starting a reread before the sequel in a month. So excited!

Oh yikes, not sure if I'll finish this one... The writing style is a bit much. Plus opens with a gratuitous sex scene that's not even sexy. V off-putting.

Really fascinating world! I'm still struggling to piece together the political/cultural landscape as well as the magic and spirituality of this world. It's very complex, but in a good way. Keeping me interested so far!

The slow-burn romance continues, but the YEARNING! Top tier. Delicious. Keep it coming. I can't put this book down because I NEED Cyrus to have a happy ending. The political/adventure plot is also picking up IMO, which is the opposite of what some reviews had led me to believe. I'm glad I didn't notice when this book first came out, as I now have half as long to wait for the sequel.

I'm very excited to see where this goes. I hope I remember enough of the first three books to fully enjoy it. 🤞🏼 It's got my attention so far!

Not connecting with any of the characters

Based on the reviews and the first couple chapters, I'm not super excited about this one. I remember enjoying the original KOTW trilogy though, plus I've had this sitting on my shelf for YEARS and need to check it off the list.
