Ina May's perspective on modern child birth puts me at ease. Love this book.

Zadie Smith perfectly captures the machinations of academia and famly. I want to inhale this book.

Quite compelling.

I mostly read this on the train to and fron work each day, so it's taking some time to make any real progress. Absolutely beautiful prose, though. Sometimes I read a paragraph two or three times because it's so profound and pretty and succinct and rich.

The plot is intricate and exhaustive, but remains interesting and entertaining. Pynchon richly depicts the drug fueled sleaze of Vietnam-era LA, but I'm kind if ready for it to end.
