Scribblegirl is on page 132 of 437 of For the Wolf (Wilderwood, #1)
I'm on page 132 of this mess, and there's still no explanation for the world at all. Whitten alludes CONSTANTLY to some traumatic event in the past, but she has yet to tell what it was or explain what is going on in the present, in anything other than badly explained snippets. Incredibly annoyed. May not finish.

Started well, but I am now halfway through and beyond frustrated. Every single character is an idiot except for the bad guys and the half-sister, and I'm sure by the time I'm finished, the bad guys will have been outed as unforgivably stupid, as well.

Okay, so, I'm not digging this one at all. It's so full of plot inconsistency that it's driving me nuts. Mead really phoned it in with this one. The social aspects of the story alone are enough to make me want to slit my wrists. This book is clearly nothing but filler.

Bitch, PLEASE. You did not love him. You did not want to marry him. You haven't even *liked* him for over 100 pages. Your ambivalent feelings toward him are wishy-washy at best. Do not now pretend that you have ANY idea what your brother is going through, or I will cut your dumb ass. WHY am I still reading this frigging thing???

*blink* I KNOW you did not just refer to slaves as "workers" and make the claim that you treated them well, after saying how idyllic and fun your Southern Belle plantation life was "until the war." I can't fucking even with that racist bullshit.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LEARN TO USE PUNCTUATION CORRECTLY, PM CHRISTOU. A COMMA IS NOT A PERIOD. Not is it a semicolon or a dash. I hate you, your cheesy mashup, AND your complete lack of understanding of the concept of punctuation and grammar.

Not generally a fan of horror in general, and zombies in particular (too gory), but really digging this Sean-of-the-Dead-esquian tale of the zombie apocalypse.

Yeah, 'cause you should definitely NOT enlist the help of the one person you know who knows what's going on and is able to help you. Far better to go it alone and risk your best friend's life instead. It's not like death is permanent or anything. Seriously, what could POSSIBLY go wrong.

My god, women do a lot of moaning in this book. They moan when they hold their hands out to a fire. They moan over food. They moan over cookies. They moan getting dressed. They moan getting undressed (alone). They moan when someone picks them up. I fear what will happen when actual sex is involved. I doubt a nice, quiet fade to black is in my future. I hope whatever building they do it in is heavily soundproofed.

This was the B&N free book this week. I normally skip romance (unless it look amusing), but this one looks kinda cute/amusing, so I decided to risk it. We'll see.
