He's protecting her in a way but I still can't bring myself to like Toven. I'm already 68% through with this book and I'm still frustrated with the main leads. I'm cooked aren't I 😩

So far the male lead is a piece of shit and why Briony even thinks about him instead of trying to slit his throat is a mystery to me. I mean sure maybe he is secretly a great person (cause otherwise why the hell is he the male lead), but the way he's acting right now makes me want to see him dead.
