Reading was interrupted and a bit slow as I am savoring the stories each barkskin.

Just started this epic and was immediately hooked. Should finish this book for July Read and Bead.

Glad I found time to read this YA version of Civil War history. It is well enough written to engage young readers and tell them the story without making it too horrific. Now I am interested in reading the adult version

Manhunt brings to life two epic events of the Civil War era:

Jarjo divided her life memoir into East, North, West and South. I am enjoying the slow read pace I set for myself as her words invite contemplation of my own life. It is a good read for this time of self isolation. This could be a one day read, but I purposely read one section a day, East being the beginnings of her existence. To read one who does not seem to judge but tries to understand family relationships.

This is the first novel of Springfield, Illinois author Tish Cook.
