Okay, here's the stuff I've seen before. We're jumping around. The show didn't add a whole 10 years.

I'm not sure how I feel about this - I first picked this up because I'd seen clips if the show on Tiktok, and in the first few pages it has skimmed over a lot of what seemed quite pivotal in the show so I'll be interested to see where it goes from here in terms of content and storytelling. devices.

I've been in a bit of a reading slump since the pandemic began. Trying to make an effort to read something other than contemporary romance and this is the first book I've picked up. Was supposed to read 50 pages before bed but it flew by. A few years back I would have just read until the early hours of the morning but I can't do that anymore.

I'm really enjoying this but I'm not sure if it's because it is really good, the narrator's voice is amazing, or a combination of both.

Probably the last one.

The language is much more accessible than I was expecting.

Well this seems fascinating! I'm really loving the crows and I'm hooked enough already to be intrigued by the explosions that have already happened. Already this book is more diverse than vast numbers of fantasy novels I've read without it feeling forced.
