I relate to Frank as an oldest child; the jealousy, having to share special things, being “odd” to your siblings’ shine,always getting in trouble because “you should know better, you’re older!”... he depicts Oldest Child problems like no other. Love how McCourt manages light and dark in such a tragic environment. It’s absolutely hilarious in parts, more so than most self-proclaimed comedic books.

Amazing. Put so much into perspective for me. A good read to get a handle on your past and what steps to take for a great future.

Beautifully written but finding it hard to stay engaged in the narrative.
