My prediction:

Alex can see grays because she experienced near death, possibly from a near overdose. Because she experienced such trauma, that created a link to the afterlife, which makes her see Grays. Because addiction was mentioned in the beginning, Alex and the Grays share that connection: they are addicted to something that they no longer have access to (?).

Bree’s character hits so hard because I went through the same grief with my mother. My mom died tragic as well: pancreatic cancer. Not so quick but less than a year of diagnosis.

I’m interested to see how she handles her grief and acceptance. Because accepting is just as hard as living with the aftermath.

Peeta and Katniss are very intelligent people. Peeta’s ability to ready body language and Katniss’ street smart is refreshing to read. Like, they are making me smile with the little instances they do. Unlike other book teenagers, Collin’s crafted/wrote very resilient kids.

And rebellion? How are all these people connected? (I seen the movies so I know, but not on a literary scale)
