Just got to the scene that inspired a long coffee with cream and honey kick for me the first time I read this. Also I love Meliara so much she is one of my all time favorite leading ladies. Like she’s tough and sassy but in a realistic and heartfelt way not a “sassy strong girls sell books and this is her only trait” kind of way. You know?

I’ve been in such a reading slump I think I just had like 4 DNFs lol. It’s time to reread an old fav 😍

The Kelsier/Vin found family trope is everything to me 🥺🥺🥺

Only a few pages in and already the author lazily described a characters appearance by just using a real world celebrity (Stanley Tucci), incorrectly said food was stuck in dentures (impossible, there’s no gaps between the teeth) and the MC is wearing a peacoat and high heels at her high school -_- I waited months for this hold and I’m already annoyed.

Ok I can’t do it, every time they say “Paul” I’m just picturing my dad it’s really taking me out of it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I can’t believe they did all this alien tone setting and exotic sounding names just to hit me with a mc named “Paul” 😔

Yall this book is THICK. And my loan ran out so I’m on hiatus for another 6-8 weeks🥲 so far I’m loving it tho!!
