A very fun book with exciting sci-fi action. My main criticism is poor character development. When an author never takes time to describe a character it’s difficult to visualize them, and a good writer will also build some depth of personality. I also found grammatical errors and wondered if good editing is no longer a priority for Tor. But, overall a page turner with high adventure in the galaxy.

Amazing book: haven't been this caught up in a story for a long time.... I'm thinking about it at work.

This book is such a slog through he middle! I hope it improved before the end.

I couldn't develop enough interest to finish this book. It's very dated, lacking in plot and character depth. I wish Goodreads had a Did not Finish Selection instead of "I'm Finished," as many have requested. Amazon (the owner) ignores this.

Much of this book was an apology of why we are Christian, and I was looking for more of the Catholic differences and their justifications. Overall a good book.
