Totally unreadable, unless you are a diehard Stein fan!

I know Stein is a great writer, but this was impossible to get through. Her unwillingness to use anything but pronouns makes it impossible to keep track of who is who. Perhaps that's the point in a whodunnit, but it made my head hurt, and not in a good way.

Kevin Wilson's Nothing to See Here is amazing and wonderful and insightful. I read the review in the Times, and bought it--which I rarely do so quickly--and am already halfway through. So much charm!

Just finished Paul Lisicky's The Narrow Door. What an intense view into a friendship, with a bit of a back door into his relationship with Mark Doty (who has fascinated me since his amazing memoir, Heaven's Coast.). A beautiful book--Lisicky made me cry.
