As far as I know this is the first of this author's works. So blown away. I'm impressed. PC police keep reading books like this and they are so easily offended. I wonder if they go for these books just to rant. So if you do not like dark reads stay away and stop discouraging authors who have some guts to write something different. This is gothic and dark as heck and grotesque on purpose. So unique.

This is uber promising. Rosalyn Landor does the female voices and Will M Watt does the male voices. It's pretty gritty so far. The brother of the h is a lecher towards his sister so you have been warned. I decided to listen to this because of the dual narration which is hard to find in historicals. That with the fact that this is far from fluffy, I am hoping for a good listen. The heroine hasn't met the hero yet.

This is not half bad. Lots of jealousy, angst, bickering and man handling. It's enough to keep me reading. This had no reviews. I'm surprised. If you're up for a bickerfest, this is pretty good. I like a spiteful heroine when the man deserves it. My digital copy is riddled with errors but I perservere. So far so good.

I normally would have passed this up but it came up on my recommended audibles. All I can say so far is what an asshole this guys is. TA blackmails college student for sex after saving her from an attempted rape. So charming.

The trainwreck continues. I can't put it down. I want to punch the male main character in the face. No he's not a hero. I wonder if the author is going to try to redeem him. Don't even try it lady.

How many times can an author use the word nub or nubbin? Can't we just erase that word for the English language? It's so unsexy in a love scene. The author is a decent writer. Can't she think of another word to describe women's sexual area? I mean whatever happened to her sexual core or between her thighs? No, he rubs her nubbin. Rub a dub dub he rubbed her nub... Geesh. Why, why why.

Wow this one starts with a bang. Let's see if it can keep it up.

I'm loving this so far. The heroine is such a lovable brat. She's determined the hate Brad's guts and use him in a marriage of convenience that is if he weren't so incredibly hot. She's convinced all men want her for her money and never wants to have a traditional marriage. This is fast paced and easy to read so far. I got bored with the other two I am currently reading and started this. Before I knew it, it was 3am.

This started off great. Now I am struggling to keep my interest in it. Maybe it's just me. Love the cover.

I don't even know if I want to bother finishing this. It's just so depressing. The hero is worse than an asshat. He hates the heroine and she just takes it. I would have beat the man over the head with a frying pan by now. It's well written but as far as a bodice ripper it's not my cup of tea. I'll reserve my rating until I have time to finish it.

This much better than expected. If you are looking for the old unpc books you might like this. The heroine isn't all that sharp but there are many wtf moments. This is my second Theresa Conway book, the other being Gabrielle. Both seem to start off well slip near this end. I like this better than Gabrielle so far. The hero is better. He loves the heroine but thinks she betrayed him. Almost done with this one.

This one is shaping up to be on my favorites list. Heroine disguises herself as a little Indian boy from Calcutta to escape forced marriage with walnut stain???!!!! It's absurd in a good way. I found myself laughing at the dialogue. The characters jump off the page at me. Shiplett is a master at bringing the characters to life. I am at about 65 percent and I am hooked so far. Warning: brutal rape scene, not hero.
