There is so much in this book that screams “fantasy version of The Hunger Games.” Currently learning about Tealah, and all I can think of is Caesar Flickerman with his blue hair and bright white teeth while interviewing tributes.

I had to return this book to the library after repeatedly renewing it because there is another hold, but I WILL be back one day!

This book is just...so, so good. It's one of the most engrossing things I've read in a long time.

I really wanted to stay on the subway to finish this book this morning!

This book is a hard read, but I mean that in the very best way. I keep having to set it down for a bit and come back to it because it's upsetting. It's upsetting that these events have happened (and still happen) in human history. But I also find it upsetting that I was never taught so much of this while in school
