eugh. as a raving fan of the secret history, I'm sorely disappointed by the pacing, plot, and narrative choices made in tartt's much anticipated follow-up. im all for obscenity -- when it serves a purpose. Theo irritates me. At one point, I kept on trucking if only for my infatuation with Boris, but we're in the thick of the Kotka arc & I think I just need to lie down for a while. back at it tomorrow. I hate it here.
