I was in a bit of a reading slump so I needed something that was the bookish equivalent to cotton candy. Haven't seen ANTM since the early 2000's but why not? My mom said this memoir was fun, and so far it's exactly the kind of mindless entertainment I was in the mood for (who doesn't like a behind-the-scenes expose of a very bad TV show, amirite?)

I don't like this book but it was chosen by my book club. I don't think I'm the right audience for a sapphic romance between a cannibalistic monster and its potential prey, but what are you going to do? I'll get through this, although I confess I'm listening to the audiobook at 2x speed.

I'm not usually into court intrigue/game of thrones-type fantasy but this one seems kind of cozy/heartwarming in ways that offset my distaste for the usual grimdark political machinations you find in fantasy novels.

Amber is 20% done with Revenge of the Tipping Point: Overstories, Superspreaders, and the Rise of Social Engineering

so far: entertaining-enough pseudoscience, but not really seeing the overall point of the book (pointing out "epidemics" in human culture, I guess, which can often feel like something I already knew gussied up as fresh insight).
