I’m just documenting that the book wrecked me out of the blue. I think the author does a great job of describing the initial grief of a life lost too early, and in a simple, short way that doesn’t even really affect the plot at all. I just had to put the book down and relive some of the saddest days of my life, but I guess I’m thankful someone has words for it. Otherwise, it’s a joyful read!
