very interesting so far, the writing is indeed webnovel-like but I'm used to it, not a problem to me since I know they usually compensate with genius plots, and it isn't hard to read at all. I'm very curious to know what's the deal with LOTM

don't get me wrong I'm loving this trilogy and this book and everything, just... someone tell the author to never write romance again.
I say this as the greatest lover of yuri. yuri is my passion. it takes a lot to make me ship a straight couple instead of a sapphic one. but I just will never understand how this romance ever came to be. not saying that it's impossible to write it, but it's very hard to do it well

the mystery deepens, the plot only gets crazier, we're finally free of the magic/fighting school formula and tbh I like this way more, it's so much more intriguing! it's a bit slow-paced though, I have to admit

kinda slow start, syndrome of 2nd book, but the mystery and politics are more intriguing indeed...

I think it's getting a little repetitive on the school-like trials and tribulations plot, but still I enjoy the dark and macabre twist to it. yet it's still not enough for me to really love this book, but I am invested and quite curious now. for a starting book, it's great, would recommend. now let's see what plot twists lie ahead!

the long footnotes have slowed down and I'm finally invested, really excited to know more about this story! fully immersed

the long footnotes explaining worldbuilding, although interesting, are starting to become annoying since they interrupt immersion and the flow/pace overall, I like the footnotes better only when they are those little facts or commentary. but they're starting to become rarer, so I'm glad. overall still an interesting book yeah

worldbuilding very interesting, beautiful writing, clever humour, curious intrigue, not as many swearing as people are saying there is (pretty rare tbh? it just feels natural Idk), the only problem is it starts very slowly, not uninteresting though, just a bit dense and slow. even though english is not my first language, I usually don't need google translate. but now I do. but still a good book so far!

most short stories are there just to say "oh this is a short story book" so that she can publish the few short stories that actually matter
I'm saying this because who the wolf loves was a masterpiece and it's a shame that it has to share a book with the other ones I've read so far that tell me nothing
but damn, that was one of cassandra's best writing so far

though people usually like OUABH better, so hope is always the last one to die
