Brainy is romantic.

Audiobook was available so fun time rereading this.

Well researched book. Very readable. No stray sarcasms. Serious but not just dry facts. Passion in every paragraph.

Lots of details, yet brisk pace.

Movie made from this book matches (so far) 99.5%. Excellent audiobook reader Paul Michael.

Book banners will falsely label a Y a novel, “pornography” and trip over themselves, trying to ban it, all while the children they are claiming to protect can easily access a galaxy of actual pornography on their phones. In some ways, the desperation to ban books emphasizes book’s power.

This is rather dark and disturbing. Has me rethinking where part 1 Water, and part 2 Earth were leading.

And THIS is why I like reading Boyne's books. Pieces are slowly revealed that make an already good story, turn into a tightly woven great book you can't put down. I'm going to get a fresh cup of coffee and totally finish this right now.
