Upon second listen I don’t like the demeaning way to the (quasi) gentlemen suitors talk to our protagonists.

Wait, somehow Anna managed to unknowingly date the heirs to TWO different grocery empires? This is somehow my line in the sand of plot disbelief.

Eli’s level of obsession with Rue this early on and with her demonstrable lack of interest in him other than in a physical level makes no sense short of him being unstable

Griff's knee jerk reaction is to blame, in part, Audrey and only returns to Boston after his mom goads him into it, so I'm struggling to believe the resolution of it all. Yes it worked out but only because his mom told him so? (insert gritting teeth emoji)

I hope jn fictional VT 2026, they aren’t experiencing the same alcohol/craft beverage industry downturn that is happening in the current real world, because reducing the farm diversification would prove to be a very bad idea down the road, should have listened to mom and Dylan.

It was completely unnecessary for the author to describe the death of the farm pig even if to demonstrate that an aspiring chef would make a good farmer wife, which I presume was the point. So a big FU to this author whom I’ve otherwise really liked up until now. A before and after would have sufficed.

I really would have liked Hanna’s mom to put the kdrama people in their place for being so rude to her daughter in their own home

Side thought - what exactly is Jacob's mom doing to find a job of her own so her teenage son doesn't have to give up all his joy and freedom to support the family?

I appreciate Hannah's mom trying to cheer her up, but I do think it reflects on the father's love if he's able to just basically abandon his family for work, and I do think its risky to encourage your 17 yo daughter to commit herself to a long distance relationship with someone who has to fake date other women...

The FMC of Christi Caldwells novel is a ninny. A nitwit. A dumbass. She learned nothing from her reunion with her husband and is about to flee the same damn way hurting him all over again

How is he staying?? This makes no sense. What is his father going to think when he doesn’t come back? What about his sister? I’m too adult for this plot twist

This is the strangest plot to see the main characters play side character roles in the biggest moments.

Ok so on the Wikipedia page for disneys sleeping beauty it does say it’s set in the 14th century so I guess it’s not crazy for the MC’s to keep referring to the setting being in the past instead of another universe

Honestly Stella’s inability to remember any story line of any media she has consumed is boggling unless she’s got that thing where you can’t mentally visualize stuff? Because that can affect memories.

I don’t understand why they keep referencing the 1400s and that their from the future as if that’s more probable than saying their from another world? It’s not like fairies or these people ever actually existed?
Also, for all of Stella’s planning she is weirdly avoidant of using the knowledge resource that is Reece given how many times he’s watched the movie

This FMC is tedious but I have to keep reminding myself she is a teen and this book is probably about making her less annoying in the long run.

the unexpected arrival of Shelby's mom has me wanting to yell at the FMC via audiobook; she should have called her mom out and refused to do any more filming until her mother was gone

They make a joke about Alcatraz being closer and I thought “if only you knew what the sh*t show president would be proposing in 5 years…” sigh.

It's weird to me that Dillon refers to his mom and grandma as his "ladies"; I suspect that Katy's 2nd relationship was originally flushed out more in the plot and editing resulted in it being struck because the sudden discussion of it later on was a bit shocking.

Ok but why were these two wearing jean shorts/tshirts/jeans to a wedding rehearsal dinner??

Fanny price is insufferable. She is weak and meek and lets everyone walk all over her and then when she gets an inkling of courage it’s without any forethought or plan or manner to protect herself. It’s driving me bonkers!

Trying to remind myself the FMC is a teen and constantly yelling “that was dumb!” regarding some of her decision making is unnecessary
