I feel like Georgie is real and we could maybe be friends. Neal is so freaking sad and boring and therefore unattractive. But hey, that's just me. I found this book too easy to put down and the only gripping page was when I thought she ran the dryer with the dog inside. With that, I give it 3 stars.

I have a few chapters left and am going to proactively assign 5 super ninjas. I mean 5 stars.

Why does she want to be the cool kid so bad and why is her mom so ridiculous and why isn't there a good guy in sight and why can't I find a character I can relate with and...and...and... Come on TiFani! Stand up for yourself already.

This has been my in between book for 2 months and I'm only on page 40. If I'm not glued to the story by the end of the day today, I'm putting it down for good.

Let's see, the dog woke me up at 4:30 and I can't sleep, so now I'm trying to stifle my laughter to keep from waking everyone else up. Did Billy Crystal write this book? I can't breath...

I have to admit that I've been comparing Cheryl's self-loathing to that in Eat, Pray, Love.

Whew, this girl is a hot mess. I'm glad the trail called to her from the end cap at REI. The writing is solid. I'm following along easily and finding myself wanting for a day on that trail.

I'm having a hard time getting my mind right about this book. I was so eager to read it only to find that it's full of characters who are just looking for trouble. Who is the good person in this book? I'm still stewing on that one. I'm only giving The Girl on the Train 2 stars because I didn't care of the depressing story, thought many aspects of the book were fed by Gone Girl and there were typos throughout.

Dear editor, I'm finding obvious typos that should have been caught by you. Then there's the slip on page 181. Its the morning of Aug. 4th and Scott tells Megan to come around the following afternoon. Yet, there he is welcoming her on the evening of Aug. 4th with no explanation of the change of plans. So far, I'm calling this book Gone Girl Vacations Overseas. How nice. A participant in the action that doesn't know what happened, the missing woman, the affair, the 2 deputies, the alcohol, the lack of self control and on and on and on...

OK, I'm starting to skim the pages. The medical speak is a bit thick and I've got a great book lined up to read next. Let's get on with this story.

If I was the kind of girl who played hooky, I'd call in tomorrow and finish this book. It's almost worth the lie.

"Clover sits a few rolling hills off Route 66 in southern Virginia, just past Difficult Creek on the banks of the River of Death." I cannot put this book down.
