Holy hell, this poor woman. Her life is the car wreck I can't look away from.

If I started a drinking game where you had to take a shot every time a chapter started with a character's first and last name, I would be dead of alcohol poisoning. I'm so tired of this series. Too many POVs, too many wrenches thrown into every plan, too many times that Benedict has popped like an evil jack in the box (although, aren't they always evil?). Just get to the point already.

Jeez, how many times is this chick going to get attacked and then pass out?? She is constantly being saved by Memnon, so repetitive.

I don't know who this woman's editor was but they did her no favours. Page 361, "His eyes laze one glances at me, noticing I'm awake." ... Wut? His eyes laze one glance at me? His eyes laze, one glances at me? His eyes glance at me? WTF is this sentence meant to be???

Uggggh she literally gets EVERYTHING wrong. Every single one of her assumptions has been wrong. This chick is so fucking dumb.

No wonder everyone hates Ahnna; she's fucking insufferable. Doesn't know how to ride a horse? Doesn't matter, she'll do the opposite of what the EXPERIENCED rider trying to teach her says just to be a bitch. Wants to learn more about the markets Harendale accesses? Where was the editor for this book?! So much unnecessary twaddle.

This story is actually interesting but I would like very much to skip the gratuitous sex scenes. It's not even the amount of sex, it's the descriptions of HOW NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE HAS EVER LOVED ANYONE AS MUCH AS SHE LOVES KINGFISHER AND EVERY BLINK HE BLINKS IS THE SEXIEST BLINK EVER BLINKED. We get it; they're in love and they find each other super hot. Move on.

Ugggh SO MUCH REPETITION

Five books was too many for this series. Now all of Ophelia's friends is ALSO special with special magic or lineage or weapons or all of the above. There's not a single non-special being in this group and now they're all boring.

I'm 25% through and almost nothing has happened. Poppy has only JUST woken up, knowing who she is. WTF?? This story is so boring right now.

Also I hate these audiobook narrators. I've been listening to this fucking book for over a month because they suck and this is so BORING.

Good god, Loren has absolutely no sense of self-preservation. For someone who is constantly being reminded of the fact that she's a pathetic, weak, useless human, she puts herself into a ridiculous number of dangerous situations. She never takes a minute to think things through before acting - she just jumps right in. Fucking idiot.
