So invested in this relationship- if this was a horror book I could easily see this spiral into a parasocial relationship like the movie "one hour photo," but luckily it's a Rainbow Rowell book and I know I'm going to love where things end up

I was recommended this book at a nearby horror bookstore specifically for it's comedy, romance and not-too-horrific story; I'm nervous but excited to see what this is all about ❤️

I adore this narrator fairy and they're witty comments. The characters are very endearing and I'm so interested in the love story forming between Miss Mitchelmore and Miss Duke of Annadale, as well as solving the mystery of Mitchelmore's magical attacks on her in high society. So, so interesting!

All of the quotes from the movie, "I know what you are" and "hold on tight spider monkey" feel so out of place when you read the book (particularly because they are not in the book at all)
I really like the dynamic of the characters in book form more than the film, other than the speed they confess their love for each other. From week one of talking, they pledge they're in this together, forever. Feels fast 🙄

I did not expect to enjoy the book version of Bella more than the movie, but her character's motivations make way more sense in writing. The "not like other girls" stuff feels genuinely because of who she is, and her rationing for her suspicions of Edward feel much more methodical. I'm having a great time with how much weirder Edward is in the book. Less of a charming man, more of a hot but really weird boy.

I read to page 74 of this and stopped for a while cause it was "boring" to me. Now that I've read some more intense stuff I'm in the right headspace for a cozy book and after giving it some more time to build- I really like these characters and I'm really looking forward to how this story develops. Plus, our main girl feels very neurodivergent in the way she thinks and I feel a bit seen with some of her bluntness

The 3rd Person Omniscient POV is odd, but I am otherwise loving how cute this story is. Romance and comedy wise this book is lovely so far.

This is so simple but very cute so far

So nervous to read this when so many people have hyped it up- please don't be another Court of Thorns and Roses situation 💀
