Follett is exceptionally talented at creating characters that I have such loathing for that at times I have to put the book down and walk away, while also trying to remember to breathe calmly. God I hope one character in particular gets his due (my fingers are crossed for the plague!).

Now this is my kinda book, thick and lush and sooo much historical detail I can't even begin to imagine how Nicola kept it all in her head while breathing life into Hild. I am ready to begin!!!!

Finally! reading The Amber Spyglass after a rich third season of His Dark Materials...this was one of the rare times when I didn't know how a very big book series ended, and I loved the show so much I wanted the whole experience to be for the first time. I'm glad I waited, can't wait to read the final book!
