so far: very nice, easy, relaxing read. a little dialogue heavy but nothing too distracting.

really enjoying this despite it not being my usual kinda read. this mysterious world being presented gradually is really magnetic and atwood's prose is digestible while still being hard-hitting and horrific.

a bit frustrated with not being allowed fully in when vivian found out about matthew's text. but i guess you gotta choose your battles, writing wise — you can't exactly rehash how shitty she feels with christina if you already talked about it. i'm losing some of vivian's earlier personality, which is definitely intentional, but i'm
not quite sure i like it yet. every time pauline shows up i roll my eyes.
