first serious fantasy book in an age, so excited

if this GROWN MAN and 17/18 YEAR OLD STILL IN SCHOOL end up getting freaky it's an immediate dnf.

I'm not sure how I feel abt it... its fun but the pacing is off, and having certain things consistently be done off screen makes me doubt if its even happening, even though its supposed to be and its pretty important
