Finally made some progress on this book after reading a real turd of a book. It’s still a slog and I don’t care about 70% of the conversations or internal dialogue.

This book is so poorly written that I absolutely would have DNF if it wasn’t tied to the other Infinite books. I’ll share with you my tip for enjoying this ridiculous book. Just convince yourself that the whole thing is intentional satire making fun of popcorn action books like Reacher and throwing in completely non sci-fi time travel. Throw in every trope and cliché you can think of and just roll with it.

I’m reading this again before diving into the rest of the series. I’m picking up on some similarities to Bobiverse and it will be interesting to see where that goes.

This is definitely the most difficulty I’ve had reading a Sanderson novel. I really enjoyed the earlier books in this series, I even re-read the trilogy before the fourth book was released. But this is the most boring thing I’ve experienced from this author. It’s currently just on pause but this will probably become a DNF for me.
