This book is a wild ride. I don’t understand half of what’s being said but I’m enjoying it nonetheless.

Okay so we’re in the super mathy and sciencey part of the book. Not going to lie, I’m kinda bored because a lot of it goes over my head. Especially the math. Still enjoying Watney’s humor through it all though. I shall persevere. No worries 😉

I will say it again and again… Mark Watney is a funny bastard. Definitely was the best person to be left behind on a desolate planet such as mars.

We just had the Hab blow to smithereings. So that’s fun. Well not for Watney, but I’m having a blast reading this. Even the parts that get real technical and sciency. Big fan of your writing Andy

Now, I’ve seen this movie a good 3 times. I’m very found of it. And the book is that much better. I feel like I can see everything even better than in the movie. I love Watneys diary. I love finally meeting all the other characters. I’m obsessed so far.

Sorry not sorry, but KingFisher is possibly the dumbest name a character has ever had. Thankfully his people call him Fisher, which is much better. Big fan of the librarian, Rusarius. He seems like a gem. Ren is also a favorite. I would like them to get to the point faster though. Like just tell us what Saeris has to do… damn

1st person books are atrocious, but I digress. I am reading this so the bestie and I can discuss

So far I find POT hard to read. The old timey way they speak is difficult to get used to. The names are very hard to pronounce and then remember the pronunciation. I keep the list from the website pulled up constantly. The story is slightly boring right now. Plus the history is a touch confusing to follow. I know I am only 80 pages in. So I will continue on. Ive waded through worse plots characters & world building.
