"The life of prayer is for me the responsibility to open myself in love to the transcendent in everyone I meet. It is to meet life with all that I have and all that I am. It is to be ready to encounter people, to participate in events, to live in relationships. To live the life of prayer is thus to be vulnerable. It is to run the risk of being hurt in order to love. It is to love life as my meeting place with God" 29

"So I be written in the Book of Love/ I have no care about that book above/Erase my name, or write it, as you please--/ So I be written in the Book of Love."
