I found the character Lisbeth Salander to one of the more interesting of Popular Fiction that I have read over the last several years. I am also curious how the new author writing the series and where he goes with the narrative.

I want to see the movie version. But I try to read the book before I see the film. Especially, a film that is getting a lot of critical acclaim.

Rereading this book. I got the Kindle edition as for something to read on work breaks. My goal is to read a section a day. I am going for a slow read in hopes gaining more insight. So that I can reapply the knowledge to my own efforts in the new year.

Needed something new to read. And found this at the library. Not sure what to expect but the summary did get my attention.

Reading another one from this author.

The character of Spenser is one of my favorite P.I. in literature. A new author may be writing this series but the character still endures for me.

This is book on the wish list for me. And given the length will be undertaking for myself.

I seem lately be drawn to lone characters in a story. The Lone Gunman of the Westerns for example. Also a story of man at odds with the world he lives in. And at the time at odds with himself too.

Change of pace with this title. Plus, it appealed to my Star Wars side.

This another author that I am familiar with his work yet have I never read for myself.
The first story "Beyond Lies the Wub" caught me by surprise. And it was wonderful tale about the hidden dangers of "consumption".

I liked the author's first novel. I am curious to see what he does in his second. As I read the synopsis of this one I realized he was going somewhere different

This has been in my pile for a while. The story of the Battle of Thermopylae is best know to many as depicted in the movie "300". While the movie has definite style for me it was a bit lacking in the character development. I know this is Historical Fiction but I want to read about the people involved in the story

As I slowly go through. The one lesson I can take from this on how to adapt to one's environment. All plans only work on paper. The application of the plan needs to be flexible.

Current fiction book. It has the classic start from him where the action of scene makes you go "WTF" and it becomes a page turner from there. This is a take on a Modern Day Cinderella. Where she gets a lot more than she bargained for.

Need a "recharge" book for my writing output. Comedy writers need to produce and refine their work on very quick basis. I am looking for some insights and tips to help.

It is really interesting to notice the details and the observations made from them are still relevant for our times. I wish I had more exposure to him earlier. But I think too many "schools of thoughts" would rather avoid the challenge of his writings. I am enthralled with the efficiency and effectiveness of his prose at work here

Given current events and what is on my reading list. Seems a bit of a coincidence. I just heard this title being mentioned from various sources.

This was the latest sale deal for the Kindle. It had been a while since I had read anything. This is the collection of 100 short stories. I am trying to focus on my own writing and need to think in terms of smaller and more condensed pieces. The Introduction tells how he used something he experienced in his every day life to build a story on. And right now it is the approach I need to explore

people may hate this comparison but it reminds me of the TV series "Lost". There is something bigger going on that has not been real. I have s suspicion that the character Shadow's performing coin tricks somehow is an allegory to the plot. Which half way through has not been fully revealed. I like writer s who do not show their too quickly in the beginning.

I am reading this I am wondering why I didn't get to reading him by now. This book is a combination of a crime story (in a way) with an element of mythology. Not to seem wrong. But for me. This story is what would happen if The X-Files took a road trip. I don't what to make of this. Yet. But I am in.
