I am definitely not meeting my goal this year.

Darius's reactions to things are priceless. And I feel that ache to know family and family history. His awkwardness gets in the way and I just wanna hug him.

I didn't know if I'd like the story at first but was reading it for work since it's on the Battle of the Books list. But I really feel connected to Darius as a mom. He reminds me so much of my own son. Even the father son relationship is vividly real.

I don't care how many of Rash's books I read, the deep emotion he imbues in his stories will always cut deep.

I've made it to book 2 and I'm honestly feeling that I like it more despite hearing how different it is from the first book (they were written several years apart). I get this very claustrophobic feel while reading even though it is set in space. How is that possible? There is so little known, the world building is set into a small area...and it's effective. I love it.

I am deeply intrigued with the story even though I have no idea what is going on. It does not follow any normal or contemporary ideas of reality. I feel so far flung way out into a future that I'm definitely not prepared for.

Rereading Midnight Burning by Karissa Laurel because I feel I rushed through the first time and didn't give it enough attention. Plus Arctic Dawn is coming to my library soon so I need the refresher.

I'm not exactly sure what page I am on in the book but I'm taking my damn time finishing it. I'm going to savor every single page.

I'm so torn up over the last few stories, so much mind boggling and feels. Now for Spaceships- I think it will be filled with much of the same amazing. You can't go wrong with this collection.

Chapter 8 and no one is dead yet. I want all three of the main students to die horrible deaths. I dislike them very much. "Let's go to a bar that's haunted for our last night out" Oh yes, please! And may terrible things happen to you all! It sounds like I hate it but I don't. It just took me 8 chapters in to get used to how assholic these kids are. I can deal, as long as there is blood soon.
