Revisiting for a book club.

As someone who refers to her wrist splints as braces, it took me a good minute to understand why someone leaving the bands to their braces on the counter was disgusting. Then I realized she meant the braces that go on your teeth, haha.

"You both need to be careful," she said. "I know that the plant is pretty, but poison is everywhere, even in the places where you least expect it."

I wonder if the author did any research to help her describe the act of consuming a human eye. Can you imagine her Google history?

I am stressed. They have to survive 15 more days, but I’m not sure I will. 🙀

Day one of this horror book Advent calendar is complete, and it was definitely a troubling start!

I heard this one is super twisty and unpredictable so I’m giving it a try.
