Well, I guess I regret seeing this one through. Sigh.

This is ridiculous and I love it.

I cannot say I found much value in Phillipa Perry’s perspective. She’s really a psychotherapist? The things she had to say were strange, to put in mildly. Take this, for instance, “For example, suppose two young people look at each other and, although he doesn't know it, she reminds him of his mother's ankles.” Even with more context, it still feels off.

I am very worried.

This is so messed up, but what’s really scary is that it is probably quite accurate.

I fully support possessed dolls taking revenge upon the men who took their lives.

It can’t be a coincidence. She definitely named places in this creepy town after some horror greats: Grady’s, Tremblay’s, and Katsu’s.

Eager to find out what’s really going on here at Black Swan Farm.

I can’t stand Claire.

I think this book is going to have to do something enormous to redeem itself for me at this point, and I just don’t know if it can pull it off.

Friend rec read of the month.

I’ve stupidly held onto this hope that this was a bad dream that Katie would wake up from soon. I’m so upset right now.

Such a great blend of tropes here.

Girl, you really need to consider therapy.

If I didn’t already have cats, this book would make me want one.

There’s always room for more, though. (My husband would disagree.)

I live with 3 cats and feel very confident that they all like me. While it took a lot longer for this certainty to form with Grady, he’s come around. Eno likes all of us so much that he greets us with delight whenever we walk into the room he is in, and whenever we come home from wherever we’ve been. Are our cats really such anomalies? Fellow cat people, do you feel like your cat(s) like you?

I can’t imagine living with the guilt of having accidentally killed someone.

This is far more disturbing than I had anticipated. WTF kids?

I’m not DNFing. Tremblay is one of my favorites. But I’m not currently feeling invested, so I’m setting it aside for a bit.
